• Our Foundational Tutoring Programme: Parents are keen to give their children a good start in reading and arithmetic. Our foundational tutoring programme is designed to meet the teaching demands for Kindergarten and Primary learning by arranging home based extra tuition services for them. This programme is tutored throughout the Kindergarten and Primary academic levels. We have designed programme content, learning materials and teaching strategies that will help build the foundation of younger children.
  • Our Home Based Special Education Tutoring Programme is designed to cater for the individual learning needs of students, that is students who are mentally, physically, socially and/or emotionally delayed. These aspects of “delay,” broadly categorized as a developmental delay, signify an aspect of a student’s overall development which places them behind their peers. Due to these special requirements, students’ needs cannot be met within the traditional classroom environment. High Quality Tuition Service (HQTS) Special Education Programme and Services adopts content, teaching methodology and delivery instructions to meet the appropriate needs of each individual at all levels of education. Some learning needs of students our highly professional tutors cater for are:
  • Dyslexia, also known as reading disorder, is characterized by trouble with reading despite normal intelligence. Different people are affected to different degrees. Problems may include difficulties in spelling words, reading quickly, writing words, “sounding out” words in the head, pronouncing words when reading aloud and understanding what one reads. Often these difficulties are first noticed at school. When someone who previously could read loses their ability, it is known as “alexia”. The difficulties are involuntary and people with this disorder have a normal desire to learn. People with dyslexia have higher rates of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), developmental language disorders, and difficulties with numbers.
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention, or excessive activity and impulsivity, which are otherwise not appropriate for a person’s age. Some individuals with ADHD also display difficulty regulating emotions or problems with executive function. For a diagnosis, the symptoms should appear before a person is 12 years old, be present for more than six months, and cause problems in at least two settings (such as school, home, or recreational activities). In children, problems paying attention may result in poor school performance. Additionally, it is associated with other mental disorders and substance use disorders. Although it causes impairment, particularly in modern society, many people with ADHD can have sustained attention for tasks they find interesting or rewarding (known as hyperfocus).
  • Dyscalculia is a learning disability that affects a person’s ability to understand and comprehend numbers and mathematics. Those who suffer from this disorder may also have a hard time organizing and memorizing numbers, learning how to use mathematical symbols, telling time, and counting. While not as well-known as its cousin dyslexia, dyscalculia is estimated to affect between 3% and 6% of the population, making it almost as prevalent. Thankfully, there are many ways that you can help your child overcome this disability. Whether it is through strengthening math skills or boosting self-esteem, High Quality Tuition Service is here to help your child succeed!
  • Dysgraphia is a neurological disorder of written expression that impairs writing ability and fine motor skills. It is a learning disability that affects children and adults, and interferes with practically all aspects of the writing process, including spelling, legibility, word spacing and sizing, and expression. It’s estimated that 5 to 20 percent of all children have some type of writing deficit like dysgraphia.
  • Visual Perceptual Motor Deficit affects the ability to understand information gathered through visual means. Sensory data obtained through seeing may be compromised due to defects in the way a person’s eyes move. These kinds of ocular defects can impair reading comprehension skills, lead to a short attention span, and negatively impact one’s ability to draw or copy information.
  • Autism, also known as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), is a group of neurodevelopment disorders, characterized by various social impairments, communication difficulties, and restricted/repetitive behavioral patterns. The term “spectrum” refers to the wide range of ways in which this disorder may manifest itself. While some people with ASD are only mildly impaired, other are severely disabled.
